Robin Hood is named after a freedom fighter and is considered one of the greatest British legends. The story of his life as an outlaw in Sherwood Forest has been told for hundreds of years. Robin Hood and his men took from the rich and gave to the poor. They kept fooling the Sheriff of Nottingham. The story, which takes place in the 12th and 13th centuries, has been filmed several times. Robin Hood was portrayed by Errol Flynn, Sean Connery and Kevin Costner, among others.

Technical Specifications

Our TT-Line Sweden ferry Robin Hood, which went into service in November 1995, was built in Finland on the Finnyards in Rauma and is equipped with two diesel-electric propulsion systems. Diesel engines only drive electric generators to generate electricity for the ship's power requirements. Fuel consumption can be reduced if the ferry can travel more slowly, which also leads to lower CO2 emissions. In recent years, fuel consumption has been reduced by around 15% through optimised ship operation.
