TT Line Nils Dacke

On board our TT-Line Sweden ferry Nils Dacke

Our comfortable Sweden ferry has 163 cabins for over 350 passengers. On 9 decks there are 3 vehicle decks (decks 1, 3, 5) and 3 decks with cabins, cafeteria, on-board shop, gambling area and two saunas as well as the crew decks.

Nils Dacke is named after a Swedish freedom fighter and peasant leader from the 16th century. The peasants in southern Sweden rose in 1542 and resisted tax increases and numerous regulations that even extended to dress codes and house building rules. Nils Dacke won German allies for his fight, but was defeated by King Gustav I Vasa in an attack on Kalmar in 1543, when he was wounded and hidden by Catholic clergy before continuing to fight for his aims.

Technical Specifications

Our TT-Line Sweden ferry Nils Dacke, which entered service in October 1995, was built in Finland on the Finnyards in Rauma and is diesel-electric powered. Since summer 2014 the ferry has been operating with a hybrid scrubber for exhaust air purification. M/S Nils Dacke is also equipped with an oil separator to clean the water from the engine and washing water from the charging decks. The new generation of water treatment systems in the TT-Line fleet cleans the oily water so thoroughly that only one third of the permissible limit value is reached.
