Technical Specifications
Our TT-Line Sweden ferry Robin Hood, which went into service in November 1995, was built in Finland on the Finnyards in Rauma and is equipped with two diesel-electric propulsion systems. Diesel engines only drive electric generators to generate electricity for the ship's power requirements. Fuel consumption can be reduced if the ferry can travel more slowly, which also leads to lower CO2 emissions. In recent years, fuel consumption has been reduced by around 15% through optimised ship operation.
