Following a competition for the names of the two sister ships, TT-Line employees in Sweden and Germany have chosen the names of the two heroes from the famous novels of writer Mark Twain. His classic of the youth literature "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" appeared in 1876, in which the orphan boy Tom and his best friend Huck Finn experience exciting adventures on, along and in the Mississippi River. They find gold treasures, help escaped slaves and much more.
